At the Well…May 2026 Newsletter

I am writing to you from a flight to Biarritz, a beautiful coastal town in France. Alongside an amazing, inspiring group of women, the Friends of Well, I am about to embark on the Camino de Santiago, starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

Over the next eight days, we will be walking 20 to 25 kilometers a day. When I first said yes to this adventure, my intention was simple: to give God my undivided attention.

Having just completed our 3rd Wise Well Woman Conference in April and celebrated my second daughter’s wedding in May, this pilgrimage is a dedicated space to pour my attention back into the Father. "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Guarding the Gates: Responsibility and Purity of Heart

Leading Well is an enormous responsibility. In leadership, whether at home, in the marketplace, or in ministry, we must walk with intentionality and purity of heart.

We must also remain vigilant. The enemy often fires fiery darts of division and distraction, which can manifest through relationships with friends, relatives, colleagues, or even random encounters. Sometimes, if we are not careful, we ourselves can inadvertently say or do things that hurt others.

Last Friday, during our pilot program, "Looking Back and Moving Forward: Becoming the Woman God Sees," we dove deep into the concept of repentance. We examined the avalanche of behaviors that can derail us - like pride, anger, and disappointment. It is a tough narrow road, and as a sinner saved by grace, I am daily reminded of my need for Him. Thankfully, we do not walk in our own strength.

"Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭29‬-‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Why the Camino? Seeking Vision for Well

Is this journey self-serving? To some extent, yes. I want to use these next 8 days to hear clearly from God on how He wants us to use Well to serve you. Our conference this year was a beautiful success, filled with powerful testimonies of women experiencing deep shifts in their hearts. What makes the Well Conference distinct is its unique intersection: where spiritual formation meets workplace behaviors.
