Finding Grace after Betrayal: our new gift for you, to use and to share with others.
Encountering Jesus at Work daily: an online event with Peggy Bodde on 5 November 2026 (please note the new date - Incorrect date typed on the email blast).
September has been a gift, and I'm giving all the glory to God for it. It was my birthday month and my nephew's wedding, stretched over three glorious weekends. The final celebration was in Sitges, Spain, a coastal town with the Garraf mountains as its backdrop, beautiful beaches and summer heat that didn't know it was supposed to be leaving. Bliss.
But the real magic was the families. Both sides were larger than life, with hearts even bigger, and the warmth in the room could have heated the whole Mediterranean. Their love, laughter and generosity turned a beautiful wedding into a glimpse of heaven's family table. Scenery is lovely, but people like these are what make a celebration unforgettable. Thank you for making us all feel like we belonged.
To G and G: congratulations as you begin this new season together!
Now, confession time. I'm almost an empty nester, so I don't technically take holidays in August (the nest may be emptying, but the to-do list is not). Between surrounding myself with my beloved extended families and reflecting on five decades of life, I turned sentimental and emotional. Yes, there were happy tears, and yes, I'm blaming the sunshine.
I'm also stepping into a new chapter, and I'll be honest: it comes with a dash of uncertainty and some anxiety (used loosely, before anyone panics). So if you're middle-aged, planning to live to 100 and ready to leave the 9-to-5 (a little tribute to Dolly Parton!) and design your next work life, come and find me. I'd be more than happy to share how I've walked that road with God, including the wobbly bits.
Joseph and the God-confidence
This morning I was reading about Joseph. His own brothers sold him into slavery, which is betrayal at the highest level. Yet in Potiphar's house he was a confident young man, and that confidence clearly wasn't about his circumstances. It was from God. It even caught Potiphar's attention, and Joseph ended up running the household (Genesis 39 if you'd like to read it yourself).
That's not ordinary confidence. That's God-confidence, and I'm reminding myself to walk in it as I forge new territory and close out 2026. I hope you'll walk in it too.
From betrayal to grace
Speaking of betrayal, have you seen the new gift I mentioned before? Go and have a look at Finding Grace | WELL International, and please share it with others who might need it. I couldn't have done it without the women who answered my call and told me about the challenges they'd faced over the last two years. Thank you again. You trusted me with your stories, and God is using them.
Another gift: Encountering Jesus at Work daily
For the women who responded, we have another gift: an online event, 'Encountering Jesus at Work daily'. It was first scheduled for 8 October but has moved to 5 November 2026. Peggy Bodde and I will be tackling your questions.
Isn't that exciting? Peggy is a down-to-earth speaker and author, and her approach to challenges at work is practical and real. No fluff, just faith with its work boots on. Read her articles at Peggy Bodde.

Boldly Rising: a new chapter with Jamie Phear
Talking of new chapters, you all remember Jamie Phear, who leads the transformative workshops at Well Summit every year. Yes, that Jamie! Many of you have shared your testimonies with us after her teaching. Jamie has launched Boldly Rising - a six-week online course for Christian women who want to be more deeply rooted in God, recognise His voice more clearly, understand what He has placed within them, and discern what He may be inviting them into in this season. can testify, anthing of Jamie's comes with real depth and so if you are serious of turning your life around, this is an investment worth every penny in gold.
This course grew out of Jamie's own wrestling with identity, calling and purpose. The course looks at the difference between simply looking for clarity from God and letting Him form us more deeply. Over six weeks you'll explore identity, hearing God, gifts, calling and discernment through teaching, Scripture, prayer, reflection and live online gatherings.

In closing
If September has taught me anything, it's that God is faithful in the celebrations and in the seasons of uncertainty. Weddings, birthdays, mountains and beaches remind me how good He is. The betrayals, the wobbles and the big unknowns remind me how near He is.
Wherever you are this month, whether in a season of dancing, waiting, starting over or simply trying to get through the inbox, I pray you'll walk in that same God-confidence Joseph had. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to know who holds tomorrow.
So go and enjoy Finding Grace, book your place for 5 November, and think about Boldly Rising. Most of all, take a moment this week to say thank you to the One who's been carrying you all along.
With love, laughter and all the glory to God,
Deepa and The Well Team
