Surrender Every time I watch Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well in The Chosen, I am moved to tears. She could have walked away when she felt exposed, although condemnation was never what Jesus offered her. Instead, she stayed long enough to hear Him. A few days ago, I watched The Forge, where Priscilla Shirer, an incredible Bible teacher and author, plays the on-screen mother of Isaiah, a troubled young man. Once again, I was in tears when he surrendere

Picture 1 -From the left: Alison Rust, Jacqui Zanetti, Deepa Vargis I Pictures courtesy of Jacqui Zanetti When I last wrote in The Well newsletter, I was standing at the base of the Pyrenees, about to embark on the first chapter of the Camino de Santiago. If you missed that issue, go read it quickly - we’re moving at pace here! Now, I usually like to be the one in the know, but for this trip, I happily elected myself a follower. I packed John Brierley’s famous guidebook and

I am writing to you from a flight to Biarritz, a beautiful coastal town in France. Alongside an amazing, inspiring group of women, the Friends of Well, I am about to embark on the Camino de Santiago, starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Over the next eight days, we will be walking 20 to 25 kilometers a day. When I first said yes to this adventure, my intention was simple: to give God my undivided attention. Having just completed our 3rd Wise Well Woman Conference in April a

I am absolutely thrilled to share all the exciting developments happening behind the scenes as we gear up for the Wise Well Woman Summit 2026 on April 18th! You must read to the end as we have a surprise in store too. However, before we get to the end let me tell you, it hasn't been without its challenges—obedience demands not just blind faith but a deep trust in God, especially when the path ahead is shrouded in uncertainty. Yet, we hold fast to the belief that our obedience

When adversity strikes - when prayers seem to echo unanswered for months, when a loved one’s struggles leave you feeling helpless despite your deepest care, or when life blindsides you with an unexpected bill or a spike in mortgage rates - the weight can feel relentless. Each setback chips away at your resolve, leaving you exhausted and questioning how much more you can bear. In these raw and vulnerable moments, I often wonder about those who seem to carry hope so effortlessl

Eph 6: 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. As the Well Board of Advisors & Trustees and I look toward April 18th, 2026, we’re experiencing not just a subtle movement of the Holy Spirit, but a powerful outpouring through visions and dreams as we shape the programme for the Summit. As 2025 comes to a close, I

Growing up, I faced many insecurities, leading to misguided choices and paths. Reflecting on my past, I am amazed by how God consistently rescued me from the chaos and destruction that followed, always in His perfect timing. As Lisa Bevere said, "I believe that the attacks on your life have much more to do with who you might be in the future than who you have been in the past." The pivotal moment in my life was a profound encounter with God in a desert country—intimate and pe
